Golf and Leisure Club Membership Sales Executive (Part-Time)

We are currently looking for a person who is passionate about the leisure and fitness industry and who has a proven track record in sales.

Main Objective & Job Role

As Golf and Leisure Club Membership Sales Executive you will be responsible for delivering key performance indicators in line with departmental budgets. Leading from the front and by example your role will involve daily calling, touring and selling of memberships for the Golf Club, Leisure Club and Day Spa.

Main Area of Responsibility

  • Achievement of Leisure Club, Spa and Golf membership revenue against budget and year on year growth
  • Achievement of membership experience score KPI’s and the maintaining of these
  • To ensure membership cancellation budget is met and retention KPI’s are better than budget and year on year improvement
  • To present and implement new membership initiatives to show development of the membership product which in turn increases revenue, retention and member satisfaction
  • Show initiative in dealing with a membership base/group to protect and develop the membership product
  • Develop and adhere to membership reporting deadlines to show constant development of the membership business and to highlight any trends of success or concern
  • Show strong administrative skills when inputting membership data into our Property Management Systems in cohesion with the GDPR Act of 2018

A Typical Day

Working a 16-hour week you will set up and deliver daily KPI’s. These include a minimum amount of calls, lead generation activities, appointments and sales.

You will be responsible for delivering a new member and retention target each day by breaking down the revenue and member budgets into an achievable daily total. Showing excellent initiative you will have the experience and knowledge to be able to quickly change upcoming daily appointment levels should you see any downward trends which could contribute to not achieving weekly and monthly KPI’s.

You will also be expected to handle membership queries and complaints quickly and efficiently on a daily basis.

Excelling in the Golf and Leisure Club Membership Sales Executive role can be done in many ways, these would include; Delivering and over achieving in all sales targets for Golf and Leisure, implementing new commercial strategies to enhance revenue or guest satisfaction, being personally mentioned in any of the Leisure Club feedback channels from members and guests, over delivering with the completion of reports and tasks set out by the Leisure Club Management team, being praised by others, your peers and other staff. 

Other Responsibilities

  • To report for duty punctually as per the rota, wearing the correct attire
  • To be aware of, and comply with, the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Hotel and Departmental Fire Procedures and to adhere to those procedures in the event of fire or fire evacuation
  • To comply with industry recommendations and any recommendations of the Environmental Health Officers, with regards to water sensitisation and any Health and Safety related issues with the Leisure Club
  • To assist in the training of leisure staff on any issue relating to Health and Safety. That all Health and Safety procedures are recorded, and that a clear log is maintained
  • To be responsible for the Leisure Club and other related areas when on duty
  • To help run promotions in the Leisure Club to motivate members and help member retention
  • To make sure that there is a high level of cleanliness in the Leisure Club. If any area is not to the satisfactory level of cleanliness ensure it is cleaned immediately
  • Ensure correct cash handling procedures are carried out, that all transactions are put through the Check-Out, and that any irregularities are investigated and put right before the end of shift
  • To carry out all administration duties in an efficient manner as to maintain the smooth running of the Leisure Club
  • To maintain effective communication links within the Leisure Club and all other departments within Whittlebury Park
  • To report to the maintenance department any faults with equipment or necessary maintenance throughout the Leisure Club
  • To handle any guest queries, problems or complaints and take the necessary action to the satisfaction of the guest and the hotel, and to report any serious complaints to the appropriate Manager
  • To maintain strict security precautions throughout the Leisure Club
  • To attend any training courses/sessions as requested by the Hotel Management and in line with statutory requirements

Salary

£10.50 per hour (under 21's), £11.52 per hour (over 21's). 16 hours per week.
