Whittlebury Hall in Northamptonshire is delighted to announce the appointment of specialist in team growth and development, Lynn Lockley. Lynn’s recruitment comes as part of the resort’s drive to retain and develop talented hospitality team members. Lynn will initiate a new plan specifically developed for this purpose called ‘Grow’.
In an environment where increasingly employees feel the need to move on to move up, Whittlebury Hall’s new ‘Grow’ programme seeks to reset the trend. Grow will focus on retaining the Towcester business’ home-grown talent. The scheme will offer upward mobility through the golf & spa hotel and conference centre’s ranks to avoid the self-defeating cycle of continuously training talent only to lose it.
The first stage in establishing Grow sees Whittlebury Hall welcome Lynn Lockley as its new Learning & Development Manager. With almost 20 years’ experience, primarily with global blue-chip companies in the service sector, Lynn brings vast experience to the development of the new in-house programme.
Lynn managed the training programme for Burger King following its acquisition of Wimpy and was tasked with assimilating several hundred new staff and managers into their new brand. As European Manager of Training for Disney Store, she created a programme promoting staff training and development across five countries.
At Whittlebury Lynn will initially focus the Grow programme on developing personal attributes to support achievement goals in the workplace and successful working with both colleagues and guests.
