Whittlebury Hall supports local children’s charity with donation
Whittlebury Hall Hotel and Spa has been delighted to support Niamh’s Next Step during 2013 and recently presented a cheque for £2,120 to the charity.
Niamh Curry died aged 5 last year after being diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, a rare cancer that affects around 100 children every year and develops from nerve cells called neuroblasts. In her memory, Niamh’s parents set up Niamh’s Next Step as a registered charity to raise awareness of Neuroblastoma and funds to help other families and children.
The team at Whittlebury Hall have supported the charity by participating in the Silverstone 10k run, staff events and donations and, in early August, as host to the charity’s first Gala Ball.
Last week Sean Coxon, Sales Manager at Whittlebury Hall presented a cheque for £2,120 to Chris Curry, Founder and Chair of Niamh’s Next Step.
Chris said “Whittlebury Hall Hotel and Spa have been an amazing support to Niamh's Next Step throughout the course of the year.
“Their staff have taken part in the Silverstone 10k run and in August we hosted our charity gala ball in the Brooklands Suite at Whittlebury Hall where we were lucky enough to have some amazing celebrities attend including Shane Filan, Una Healy, Darren Gough, Ben Foden, Lee Dickson, Jamie Moore and Peter McDonagh.
“The venue and food was out of this world and the service incredible. The feedback from all our guests who attended was great.
“After all this I was today presented with a cheque which is fantastic. Thank you so much to everyone at Whittlebury Hall Hotel. You are all amazing.”
Bernhard Zechner, Director at Whittlebury Hall said: “The team is delighted to lend its support and will continue to support such a worthy cause and wish Niamh’s Next Step well with their fundraising.”
