Whittlebury Hall regional finalists for national business awards
Whittlebury Hall Hotel and Spa has won two awards in the East Midlands round of the British Chamber of Commerce awards and are now regional finalists in the tenth annual British Chambers of Commerce Chamber Awards. The Chamber of Commerce Awards are designed to recognise and promote the very best of British business and Whittlebury Hall are finalists in two categories: Marketing Campaign of the Year and The Sustainability Award.
For the Marketing Campaign of the Year award, the team at Whittlebury Hall developed and implemented the ‘Exclusively Yours’ high impact integrated campaign to create stand out and communicate the core Conference and Training product benefits and investment plans.
A new instant reward programme was developed and launched, tailored specifically to the event/meeting organiser or booker, providing another reason to choose Whittlebury Hall.
The Sustainability Award shortlisting recognises the continuing work of Whittlebury Hall to make it more environmentally friendly.
One of the key initiatives driven by the team is a continued effort to become the industry leader in zero to landfill. Established activities to achieve this aim included recycling of all glass, paper, card waste, plastics and oil waste.
Other activities established include a new Bio Mass Boiler pilot to convert 100% of the 250+ tonnes of food wastage to useable energy, to heat the 300sqm Spa and Leisure facilities.
Director Michael Stott said: “Winning such prestigious awards is a great achievement for our business and recognises the product investment and our efforts to ensure our business is sustainable. We must thank all of our team who work so hard every day to make the guest experience such an enjoyable one and we dedicate these awards to every one of them!”
Paul Griffiths, Chief Executive of Northamptonshire Chamber, said: “The Chamber Awards is the perfect platform to showcase the amazing work companies are doing on a day-to-day basis.
“They give firms recognition for the contribution they make to the local business community and in helping to move our economy forward, as well as raise their profile nationally.
“I congratulate Whittlebury Hall Hotel & Spa on their two successes, which has been thoroughly deserved.”
The winners of the National Chamber Awards will be announced at the awards ceremony in London on 28th November 2013.
