Top Tips for Spring skin from the experts at The Day Spa

Date Posted:11/04/2014

Spring is the time of year to pamper yourself and revitalise your skin, in preparation for summer sun. Our Day Spa experts want to make sure you make the most of the season ahead with their top tips;

Look after your skin
Central heating, comfort eating and winter weather can take its toll on your skin. Prepare your skin for the summer months by feeding it from within – eating highly coloured fruit and vegetables like carrots, plums, apricots and butternut squash, can improve the colour and tone of your skin. Consider including a multivitamin supplement, to support the healthy appearance of your hair, skin and nails – helping towards making sure you look your best for summer.

Get scrubbed up
Colder weather dries the skin, leaving it looking sallow and dull. Refresh your skin and reveal your inner beauty by using a scrub twice a week. This applies to both face and body and our Day Spa experts recommend the Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel and the ESPA Refining Skin Polish for a full head to toe polish!

Keep your skin soft and supple
Keeping your skin hydrated and supple through regular moisturising is very important. The ESPA Essential Body Moisturiser, is moisturising and hydrating to the skin, leaves the skin feeling calmed and soothed, and has a revitalising aroma for that Spring feeling!

Stay active
Make the most of the better weather to get out and about. Exercising like walking or tennis will help to keep your bones healthy and getting fresh air, out of doors on a regular basis can improve health, wellbeing and make your skin glow.

Herbal Teas
Everyone knows that drinking herbal tea, especially green tea, is good for you but it’s important to find a tea you actually enjoy drinking. Herbal teas come in a variety of delicious flavours, ranging from spicy orange to jasmine and as herbal teas are typically decaffeinated, they can be used as a late night treat or in between drinking caffeinated teas.
