Announced on 11th May 2014, Whittlebury Hall are celebrating success after George Spires, Demi Chef de Partie for Murrays at Whittlebury Hall came second in the ‘Chef of the Year’ category at the Milton Keynes Food and Leisure Awards 2014. The runner up has proved to be a Chef of great talent, having beaten off strong competition.
George has been part of the Murrays at Whittlebury Hall team for 18 months and having never participated in a competition before, it was a great experience for him and an honour to represent Whittlebury Hall.
Michael Stott, Director at Whittlebury Hall Hotel and Spa, said: “The awards were a great opportunity for our restaurant, and our Executive Head Chef and his brigade to demonstrate the talent behind our fine dining cuisine in the award-winning Murrays Restaurant.
“We are very delighted and proud that George has been awarded such an impressive accolade in the Chef of the Year category and we look to be back to win next year!”
