Food & Beverage Supervisor


To focus on the daily function of the restaurants area, maintaining a high standard of service and customer care in a friendly and relaxed environment. To provide a high standard in serving guests food and beverage in a warm, friendly and professional manner whilst adhering to company standards. Promote Whittlebury Hall to all guests who use the restaurants facilities. To ensure the smooth running of the restaurants.You will provide personal and effective service in all areas of your job role responsibilities and liaison to guests who are either potential clients or who are currently clients.  

  • To report for duty punctually as per your department rota, wearing the correct uniform attire and ensuring all employees are also appropriately dressed.
  • To take responsibility for the restaurants and related areas whilst on duty, carrying out tasks as required.
  • To serve guests there food and beverage requirements, in a timely and professional manner.
  • To clear used dishes, glasses and other utensils and equipment from guest tables, buffet tables and other display and service areas promptly.
  • To attend to guest requests.
  • To manage any cash transactions according to company standards.
  • Cleaning duties to include operational areas of the restaurant and kitchen preparation areas.
  • To speak with guests who have queries, complaints and take necessary action to satisfy the guest, reporting serious complaints to a senior manager.
  • To assist in cleaning, polishing, storage and distribution of restaurants equipment.
  • To assist in preparation of the restaurants for service, including re-configuration of the restaurants furniture, decoration of specified areas for special events.
  • Assist other members of the team in the execution of their duties when it is apparent they need support.
  • Supervise the team appropriately to ensure smooth and efficient service at all times.
  • Ensure all tasks and duties are completed to company standards.
  • To participate and support the manager in rotating duties and the completion of cleaning rotas and other legal paperwork.
  • To ensure the team abide by Health and Safety rules.
  • To ensure effective communication with in the team.
  • To aid the manager in training and developing the team.
  • Monitor quality and standard of food and service, assessing shortfalls and implement remedial action.
  • To attend any training courses as instructed by the hotel to ensure statutory compliance.
  • To undertake any reasonable duty as requested by management.
